The Self-Styled Young Man and the Giant Wolf (自称少年と大狼, Jishō Shōnen to Dai ōkami) is the fourth episode of Murenase! Seton Gakuen anime. It was aired on January 28, 2020.
Summary[]
Mazama Jin here. I go to school at Seton Academy, and right now, my happening high school life with Hitomi-chan is being threatened with violence! Everyone wants to be strong. I get that. So I told them this: true strength comes not from scaring people, but from loving them. Yep, just like Hitomi-chan and me. At least... I might have been able to say that, if the ones being violent weren't a stupid hyena and a stupid giant dog.
Plot[]
Since King left the throne, the school didn't had a ruler and the biggest territorial battle started for the rise of a new ruler.
Jin was going to school with Ranka on a leash. She was happy until the moment she realized she was like a pet and was being "taken on a walk" than "walking to school" with him. But Jin had no interest walking with her to school, so he left her.
At the cooking club room, Jin wondered if Ranka would participate in the territory war, but she had no interest, due to her territory being where Jin is. The other club members discussed the current situation and that normally when things get serious teachers get involved, but since they weren't getting involved, Jin guessed it wasn't that serious then. They discussed another rumor about a student from another school getting interested in ruling Seton Academy and wondered if it was related to the recent cases of buried heads as more and more animals had their heads buried in the ground, ceiling or walls and the cases were getting closer and closer to Seton Academy. Ranka then stood up saying, she will protect them as the boss of the cooking club, but Jin told her she couldn't even beat a bear. Ranka told him, she wanted to become strong as her sister and explained that she originates from North, were its cold and her sister always took care of her. But before coming to Seton, she told her she wanted to make pack with other species and she got into a fight with her sister.
Outside of the cooking club room, Kuromori and Ferryl were observing. Kuromori told her that Ranka was definitely in the room, but Ferryl wondered if she will recognize her, since a lot of time passed since Ranka left their home. Kuromori assured her she will and told her to go and meet her. Ferryl then saw Jin calling Ranka "dumb dog" and got angry. She knocked the door and entered with her pack of wolfs. Ferryl then picked Ranka and got happy and both started licking each other. Yukari wondered why Ferryl was so big, and Jin explained it must be due to Bergmann's rule, as Ferryl was letting Ranka wear his coat and in cold climate animals grew bigger to maintain their body temperature. Ferryl then left Ranka down and turned, as Kuromori approached her, he saw Ferryl was crying from joy and she explained she had a complex about her height, but learning what Jin said, she can now be proud of it. She then turned to Jin telling him he was a promising chimpanzee, which only annoyed him. Yukari saw Ferryl was from another school and wondered if she was there for the territory war, but Ferryl overheard it and explained she was there for one reason only and then asked Ranka to return back home. But Ranka refused, as she already had a pack with Jin and told Ferryl they even exchanged the vows of husband and wife. In anger Ferryl lifted Jin, but Ranka begged her to let him go and she accepted. Having no choice, Ferryl then decided to make Jin join her pack, so that Ranka can come too. She was about to start licking him, but Ranka stopped her, telling her if she does something to her friends, she won't forgive her. Ferryl got really angry for Ranka saying such thing and was about to punish her, but Ranka told her that if she doesn't leave, she will hate her forever. Hearing that Ferryl blanked out and Kuromori had to take her and retreat.
King was approached by Shiho, who told him, she needs to focus on her practice as another student was close on becoming better than her. As she told King they can't see each other for a while, she left King in shock. In the mean time, Ferryl defeated a bear, by burying it head into the wall. A spotted hyena then approached them wanting to challenged Ferryl as he was aiming to become the school ruler. Kuromori explained they are not interested in Seton Academy, but the spotted hyena didn't care for that. Ferryl then overheard Jin and Ranka and quickly went hiding, so Ranka doesn't see her, leaving the hyena wonder what was happening. Some lions then surrounded Jin and Ranka, as they had heard they send out the giant wolf and the wolf pack. They thought beating Jin and Ranka, would quickly get them to the top, but as he tried attacking Ranka, the spotted hyena jumped and kicked the lion. A female hyena fanclub was cheering for Iena the spotted hyena. As the lions attacked, Iena quickly defeated them and asked Jin if it was true what the lions said abut the giant wolf. As Ranka stood in front of Jin, Iena wondered if he feels like loser being protected by a female. Jin then yelled that Iena was a female too, which left everyone shocked as that was taboo for Iena. Iena then asked him what makes him think he was a female, and Jin explained it was her looks. Iena then decided to leave, as she didn't want to hurt the weak, since Iena was real man.
Jin and Ranka then went to the cooking club and saw Iena being there and sniffing Hitomi. Jin got angry telling her to leave, but Iena was also angry for calling her female and kept claiming she was male and didn't want to leave until Jin says she is male. Jin quickly then said she was, but Iena took it as making fun of her. Iena was trying to proof she was male, but had no success. Iena make Miyubi hold a roof tile, but since it was heavy, Miyubi fainted and Jin mocked Iena that she picked on the weak and killed them. Yukari and Jin then explained that Iena's views on having strength is old fashioned and it doesn't matter in this world if you are male or female, but Iena couldn't accept that. Miki received information that a hyena was trying to start a fight at the cooking club and as student president, she wanted to help them and decided to check the video. But as she saw Iena trying to pull her pants down and Jin trying to prevent it, she got shocked and fainted. As Iena kept struggling to show his thing at Jin, he explained that even females have fake one and normal people can't recognize if its fake or not. Iena was surprised to hear that, as she never had seen female naked body and then recalled moments in the past how she was being called girl over and over again and then realized she indeed was female. Not wanting to accept it, Iena then ran off.
Outside Ferryl and Kuromori were observing and Ferry lwas happy that Ranka had a pack and isn't crying alone, but seeing Jin calling her stupid dog, made her angry and ended up being noticed by Yukari. Ferryl explained she just wanted to protect her, but Ranka insisted Ferryl to leave her.
Back at home, Iena told her father that she was thinking she was male all this time, who was surprised as he though she just wanted to be treated as male. Her father then got happy and mentioned he knew this day would come, so he have her a female school uniform. In that moment, her brother entered and he also got happy who also said he knew this would happen and so he got a hair stylist license and gave her a new haircut. Looking at the mirror, Iena couldn't believe this was her and ran out, saying she is a male.
